Pros

  • One Of The Cheapest L-Track Chairs Currently On The Market!
  • Comes Equipped With Mechanical Calf Rollers!
  • Phenomenal User Flexibility Given That It's A Relatively Small Chair!

Cons

  • Could Do With A Few More Auto Massage Routines

It Continues To Remain A Fan Favorite!

And that’s not just because of its price tag! The APEX AP Pro Ultra is a fan favorite for several reasons:

  • 50” L-Track Rollers—One of the most affordable L-Track chairs you can presently find on the market!
  • 3 Stages Of Zero Gravity—It’s very common to see 2 stages of zero gravity, but 3 stages is unheard of!
  • Mechanical Calf Rollers—Most chairs have airbags that inflate to massage the calves. APEX went one up and incorporated actual calf rollers!

Don’t worry about the details, we’ll get right into them in a second. What about overall intensity, how does this chair perform?

8-9 is not too shabby, and actually pretty darn good for a chair with 2D rollers! Does that make it deep tissue capable? It depends on your body type, but for most an 8-9 will be deep tissue intensity.

Let’s use me as an example. I’m about 5’4 in height and 120 lbs in weight. I wouldn’t call myself skinny or scrawny, but I wouldn’t say i’m too far off from either.

Operating at its maximum intensity, this chair would knock my socks off!

100% deep tissue intensity for me! However, if you’re double or triple my weight with a lot more body fat, then a 9 may not quite be deep tissue intensity. Does that make sense?

6 Incredible Features You Can Find In The APEX AP Pro Ultra Massage Chair!

#1 Extended 50” Roller Track Range (L-Track)

You see people using terms such as “S-Track” & “L-Track”. What in the world do they mean?

S-Track & L-Track are nothing more than fancy ways of explaining roller trajectory!

What differentiates L-Track from S-Track?

L-Track rollers usually have a larger, extended tracking span in comparison to S-Track rollers.

To further elaborate, most S-Track rollers can only traverse about 30-32 inches, whereas most L-Track rollers can track 47-53 inches. This makes quite the difference because L-Track rollers are able to not only massage the neck and back, but also move right down to the glutes and hamstrings.

This chair in particular has L-Track rollers that track an incredible 50” from neck to hamstrings!

#2 3 Zero Gravity Stages

Out of all the massage chairs I review, 99% of them are all zero gravity friendly.

Zero gravity is a recline position where your legs are elevated with respect to the heart.

In this position the stresses on your spine are considered minimum, which is why most people refer to it as feeling “weightless”. It becomes an incredibly effective position for massage as you can imagine!

Let’s talk about the 3 stages of zero gravity in the APEX AP Pro Ultra. What are these?

  • Stage 1—Wouldn’t call this zero gravity per say, more so just a slightly reclined position.
  • Stage 2—More reclined than stage 1. Your body is not horizontal at this stage.
  • Stage 3—Your back is virtually supported by the backrest in this stage.

Most chairs only have 2 stages so it’s definitely nice to have 3 stages of recline, but….

Stage 1 to me isn’t zero gravity!

Stage 2 & 3 are. Out of all, I see myself using stage 3 recline the most!

#3 A Total Of 30 Airbags

Airbag count has never been a determining factor for me when reviewing or rating a massage chair.

Chair X has 20 more airbags than chair Y. Does that make it a better massage chair?

Absolutely not! There’s a lot more to take into account such as airbag surface area coverage, and roller type (S-Track/L-Track). Allow me to elaborate!

More than airbag number, airbag placement and coverage is important. Have the airbags been placed in areas where the rollers can’t reach? Have the airbags been designed to cover the largest surface area such that they have maximum coverage on various parts of the body?

With 30 airbags, most would foolishly call the APEX AP Pro Ultra a mediocre compression chair. However, it’s far from that. APEX have intelligently reduced airbag count so as to decrease the number of valves and motors required. As a result, power consumption is reduced. Airbag surface area has been increased, so you get the same incredible compression as you would with 50 airbags!

Where are all 30 airbags located? In the arms, shoulders, calves, hips, feet, and inside the seat. Airbags intensity can be varied from 3 different intensities ranging from mild to strong.

#4 5 Automatic Massage Routines

The 5 auto massage modes are: relax, deep tissue, stretching, rejuvenate, and stress care. The stretch routine in particular is quite interesting.

The airbags inside the seat, and around the waist and lower back inflate to firmly grip and twist the pelvis and hip. This makes for a pretty good mid body stretch!

#5 Unheard Of Calf Rollers!

This would be the very first chair I have reviewed that has mechanical calf rollers. Every other chair previously reviewed to this point uses airbags to massage the calves.

Calf rollers are a game changer!

Why? Because calves are the one area where your L-Track rollers can never reach. It’s not enough to have air compression massage on the calves, you need more! Kudos to APEX for improving an area which gets overlooked and neglected by everyone else!

In addition to calf rollers, this chair also has calf airbags. Rollers work the back of the calves, and airbags work the sides.

While on the topic of leg massage, this chair also has dual foot rollers that massage the sole of the feet. Foot airbags massage the sides.

#6 Requires 4 Inches Of Clearance From The Wall

Another cool feature of this chair is called space saving recline. It’s pretty simple….as the chair reclines backward, the seat slides forward. A simple mechanism that saves you lots of clearance room. You only need 4 inches from backrest to wall.

Because this chair measures pretty small, placement is unlikely to be a problem. Unlike most other L-Track chairs, this one is significantly smaller!

  • Upright Dimensions (H X W X D)—38″ x 27″ x 56″
  • Recline Dimensions (H X W X D)—38″ x 27″ x 63″

My Take On The APEX AP Pro Ultra!

What I Like (Pros)

Price Is On Point!
Currently retailing for $2,399 on massage chair deals, this is an absolute steal. From all the L-Track chairs I’ve reviewed, this is by far the cheapest. However, keep in mind that price never remains the same. Especially for massage chairs, price fluctuations happen so frequently.
Calf Rollers Make It Even More Special!
I love the extended 50” tracking capability, don’t get me wrong, but my favorite thing about this chair are the calf rollers. As mentioned previously, calves are an area often neglected in most massage chairs, so finally seeing independent calf rollers really gets me excited!
No Assembly Required For This Chair
Unlike others, there is no assembly required with this chair. Simply rip the box open, plug, play, and enjoy. No need to assemble the foot ottoman or anything of the sort. Now keep in mind, this is definitely the case if you buy from massage chair deals. Can’t say if this is true for all places!
Fantastic User Flexibility For A Small Chair
The APEX AP Pro Ultra is a baby! Not in terms of functionality, but in terms of size. Compared to other L-Track chairs, this is significantly smaller. Even with the small size, it’s still able to accommodate users anywhere from 5’0 – 6’3 ft with a maximum weight of 265 lbs.

What I Don’t Like (Cons)—Honestly Can’t Think Of Anything!

Based on the current price ($2,399 on massage chair deals), there is nothing negative I have to say about this chair. If you’re able to get your hands on it at this price, rest assured you are getting a beast of a deal! As I said, it’s rare you’ll find an L-Track chair priced so low!

How Does It Stack Up Against The Competition?

For you to gain an appreciation of this chair’s capability, you need to see how it stacks up against the competition. Maybe then you’ll be able to understand why it gets me so excited!

Because the APEX AP Pro Ultra is an L-Track chair with 2D rollers, we shall compare it with 3 similar chairs. As they say, compare apples to apples!

We will be comparing this chair against Osaki’s Pro Maxim, TP-8500, & Titan’s Pro Alpine. All 4 chairs are similar in that they have 2D L-Track rollers.

Key Takeaway #1: Price

Based on current pricing for all 4 chairs, APEX AP Pro Ultra has the most “bang for buck”! In other words, it has the best value for money.

Key Takeaway #2: Overall Intensity

Isn’t it funny how the chair that costs the least, provides the most intense massage? On a scale of 1-10, APEX AP Pro Ultra can do a staggering 8-9! The remaining 3 chairs cannot do more than an 8.

Key Takeaway #3: Auto Modes & Memory Save

Here’s an area where the APEX AP Pro Ultra falls a tad short. With 5 auto modes, it ranks in last place tied with Osaki’s TP-8500. Also, it doesn’t have the memory save feature; a feature that allows you to save customized manual massage for future use.

Key Takeaway #4: Calf Rollers

APEX AP Pro Ultra is once again the unprecedented winner! This is one of the only massage chairs I’ve come across till now that has calf rollers. Hopefully it won’t be the last!

And The Winner Is…..

Take into consideration the price for all 4 chairs on massage chair deals, APEX AP Pro Ultra is the clear winner without a shadow of a doubt in my mind!

But remember if price changes, it’s likely my evaluation would too!

Wanna Score An Extra Discount? Keep Reading To See How!

“Can I get a discount?” A simple question that’s so powerful, but unfortunately rarely asked. As consumers, we’ve become accustomed to going with whatever’s on the price tag. What happens if you ask this question? At worst, the sales rep will say no and that’ll be that. You won’t be penalized in any way for asking!

At best, you score a sick deal and save some cash in the process.

Do you like saving money? If the answer to this is yes, then start asking this question!

And since we’re on the topic, lets pretend you asked me this question.

Can I get an extra discount on the APEX AP Pro Ultra massage chair?

Absolutely! See how easy that was? If you use my affiliate link to buy from massage chair deals, and enter “MAM5” at checkout, you will receive an extra 5% off. To put it into perspective that’s $120 bucks off for a chair that costs $2,399. Don’t know about you but $120 off seems like a pretty sweet deal for just entering in a code!

Will I make a commission if you buy this chair?

If you buy using my affiliate link, yes I will make a small commission. It’s up to you to decide if I deserve it or not. Ultimately my goal here is to educate and provide you with the information you need, so you can make an informed buying decision. If I’ve done that, I’ll be happy irrespective of where you decide to buy from!

What Else Should You Be Thinking About Before You Buy?

There are a few things you should think about before buying this chair. I’ve identified them below for your convenience:

Who will be using it?—Your wife, kids, siblings, parents, or maybe just you? If it’s a bunch of people that are gonna be using the chair, make sure you understand the suggested height and weight requirements. As mentioned previously, suggested user height is 5’0 – 6’3 ft, and max weight is 265 lbs.
Shipping—Think about shipping. Massage chair deals offers free curbside shipping. Carrying and assembling the chair inside your home is not covered in this type of shipping. Consider white glove or threshold delivery options if you’d like extra help with carrying and assembling the chair.
Are you okay with having 5 auto programs?—Some people will be fine with having only 5 preset massage routines, others won’t. Important that you give this some thought before buying the chair!
Are you okay with the power consumption?—This chair consumers 250 Watts. Compared to other chairs, consumption is neither high, nor low. 250 Watts is what you can expect to see for most massage chairs.

NB: This chair requires no assembly.

Last but not least, think about how you want to pay. You can either pay everything in one shot, or finance over a maximum of 12 months. The cool thing about financing is that it’s interest free i.e. 0% if you go with massage chair deals.

Final Recommendation (As If You Need One!)

Most final recommendations are hard, this one’s easy!

Should you buy the APEX AP Pro Ultra massage chair?

Based on current pricing, 100% abso-freaking-lutely! Not only is it reasonably priced, it’s probably one of the best L-Track chairs with 2D rollers you can find! Again, in order to really understand this, you need to see the comparison table above.

I hope this review post answers any questions you have about the APEX AP Pro Ultra. If there’s any burning questions you still have, definitely leave a comment and I will be sure to reach out.

Thanks for reading! If you got some value, please share on the socials. I’ll see you guys in the next one!
