Even though the name doesn’t contain Osaki/Titan in it, the Ador 3D Allure is very much an Osaki massage chair. One look at the below video and you’ll know this is your typical Osaki chair! (Source: Easy Massage Chair)
From an aesthetics standpoint, it gets a 10/10, but what about the more important aspects? The Ador Allure is very much an intermediate massage chair, and with its 3D rollers you can expect medium to high intensities. There are a few other standout features which we’ll talk about in more detail down below.
For now, you should know that the Ador Allure is a brand new 2021 release. What that means is that you get the latest in technology in terms of rollers and everything else. Definitely always a big positive when buying new massage chair models!
Aside from this you should know that the chair comes in 3 different color schemes: taupe, black and brown, and black and charcoal.
More and more we are starting to see voice activated massage chairs. What used to be an exception in chairs like the Human Touch Super Novo is now becoming the norm in both mid and high end chairs. Ador Allure is the perfect example of this!
So how does this work? There’s a small microphone located around the armrest area which is able to detect specific voice commands. These commands activate a certain feature in the chair. You always start by saying “Hi Alice”, followed by the command.
During the massage, you could make modifications to suit your needs. For example, you could say “Hi Alice, Go Little Up”, and then the chair would know to focus the massage specifically higher up in the body.
The full list of commands I was able to pull from Osaki’s site have been listed down below.
As you can see, it does cover quite a bit. However, it would be nice if all features could be controlled on the chair by voice control. Maybe this might materialize one day!
One thing Osaki/Titan have really been doing well over the years is incorporating a plethora of auto modes on the mid/high end chairs. We saw this with the Pro First Class and now we’re seeing it here as well.
As you can see from the above, there’s something for everyone.
The auto modes can be accessed and activated directly from the remote control.
There are 3 types of rollers when it comes to massage chairs: 2D, 3D, and 4D. 2D are the oldest and most basic, 4D are the newest and most advanced.
So if that’s the case, should one only look at chairs with 4D rollers, while forgoing 2D & 3D? No. In terms of technology, 4D trumps 2D & 3D, this there’s no question, but in terms of experience, it’s tough to say for sure.
Because of their simplicity, 2D rollers (and even 3D rollers to some extent) can be easily incorporated into a massage chair without much complication or software required. As a result, manufacturers know the “ins/outs” with this type of technology, and can therefore design & create truly phenomenal units.
We’re still “early days” with 4D rollers and while there are many awesome chairs, we’ve still got a long way to go!
Back to 3D rollers….here’s how they function: up/down along the vertical, side to side along the horizontal, and in/out protrusion. Below image depicts all 3 motions exactly!
Speaking about the Allure specifically, it comes packing 3D rollers with an SL-Track. SL-Track, also known as L-Track, is one where the track extends all the way right down to the glutes and hamstrings. Most people get confused by terminology and think that SL & L-Track are 2 different things. They are one and the same!
Foot rollers are very common and can be found on most massage chairs. Calf rollers on the other hand are quite rare! You do see some of the higher end chairs come with calf rollers, but otherwise calves are an area often neglected and forgotten by manufacturers.
It’s great that emphasis is given to the back, neck, shoulders etc. but we should not forget the lower extremities. I think the feet are well covered as manufacturers do well to design and choreograph foot massage by effectively using the airbags and foot rollers.
Very happy to say that the Ador Allure does not disappoint! It comes loaded with a single calf roller for each leg/calf. I do believe that these rollers do not have the capability to traverse up and down along the calf, so in a sense it is limited. However, I’d much rather have calf rollers than otherwise!
Anyways this won’t be a concern for most people. Having a single calf roller might be an issue for those with really long legs, but otherwise most people should be good.
Also worth mentioning is that the Allure comes with 3 spinning foot rollers per foot. This is another area in which the Allure does really well!
Most massage chairs come with dual foot (2) rollers, so having an extra row as is the case in the Allure, is definitely a pro in my mind!
To be able to honestly answer this question, it’s important to do a side by side comparison with other chairs to really see how the Allure stacks up! One very important thing to note when comparing massage chairs:
That being said, let’s compare the Allure to one of my favorite 3D L-Track chairs: Osaki’s Pro First Class! Packing 23 auto modes, a 50” L-Track, and calf rollers, the Pro First Class is very much on a “class of its own”!
In many ways, the Pro First Class is similar to the Ador Allure, and you’ll see this in the comparison table below. One thing to make note of is that the Allure is very much a new chair released in 2021, whereas the Pro First Class released about a year ago is also still relatively new.
So what should you buy? Looking at the above comparison, it’s so close to call! Both chairs are priced the same (currently) so that’s not so much a deciding factor.
In terms of functionality (auto modes, memory save etc.) the Pro First Class is only slightly better than the Allure. However, in terms of user flexibility the Allure is a better option. For example, for those who are tall should opt for the Allure instead of the Pro First Class.
While it is true that the Ador Allure has space saving recline, one should still consider placement before purchasing. That is, looking at the upright and recline dimensions and seeing what place in your home can best accommodate/fit the chair.
This one’s tough because there’s pros and cons to both.
Buying offline affords one the flexibility of trying the chair out before buying, and that is a huge factor! Massage chairs aren’t something you can try and then decide to return. Because of it’s size and complexity, returning a massage chair takes some effort and will cost you $$$!
Buying online also has its pros. Many of the best deals can be found online, not offline. Also you can shop for chairs that aren’t in stores in your local area/city. Many online retailers offer match and beat the price, so if you do your research well enough, you might be able to score a wicked deal!
Why not implement both strategies? If you can try the Allure in store, then that’s something you should definitely do! If you’ve decided to purchase it, check to see what the best deals are online and eventually when the price is right, pull the trigger and buy!
Buying a massage chair is a bit like buying a car. It’s a hefty, long term investment where you really wanna make sure you get exactly what you want. Believe it or not, even with massage chairs people have different preferences.
Decide on what you want and find a chair that has those features/capabilities. Speaking about the Allure specifically, you should not stop at this review and come to a decision (to buy or not to buy).
Instead you should research and see what others are saying, because there is a subjective element to reviewing massage chairs, and what I say is not necessarily what someone else may think.
That being said, avoid those reviewers/bloggers who are only looking for an easy sale because they will be biased to say only positive things about the chair.
Like most bloggers, I too make a small commission if you were to buy this chair using the links on this post. While this is obviously important to me because it allows me to keep this site running, it’s not my primary objective. If these posts have been able to help you out, then that means I have done my job!
That being said, I do hope you enjoyed reading this review and got some value. If you did, please consider sharing on the social platforms. Last but not least, feel free to leave any questions you have about the Allure or any other chair, as a comment down below. I’ll see you next week!
