Been a while since I last did a massage chair review, so here I am today to talk about a pretty interesting 2021 release from Titan.
As I was researching the Pro Cascade, a few features immediately stood-out: one is the intelligent voice control and the other is the fatigue detection.
We’ll talk more about these two things later on, but I wanted to mention it here that you don’t usually see these kinds of features except on chairs that cost anywhere from $7-10K. In that sense, I’m pretty excited! Anyways, read through the whole review to know what my final thoughts are!
Titan Pro Cascade 3D Massage Chair: Let’s Talk Features!
The Pro Cascade shares a lot of similarities with other Titan/Osaki chairs, and just like many of the other new releases, this bad boy also comes packing:
Whose job it is to deliver a kneading/rolling style massage to both feet. There’s also airbags to perform foot compression.
The chair’s ability to slide forward during recline, thereby saving clearance space. A lifesaver for some, a moot point for others.
Just like foot rollers and space saving, Bluetooth speakers are more and more becoming the norm on most massage chairs today.I wanted to mention these 3 very briefly because I don’t think there’s too much to talk about. It’s great to see all of these features on the Pro Cascade, but it’s not particularly what I’m interested to convey/discuss during this review.
That being said, let’s get talking about the key features on this thing. Here’s 4 of my favorite!
#1 Intelligent Voice Control—The Thing That Everyone Is Talking About!
The first chair I ever reviewed which had voice control was the Human Touch Super Novo: a super expensive high end massage chair with an exorbitant price tag.
Since then, more and more manufacturers are experimenting with voice control and I’m very pleased to see it being incorporated into the mid-level chairs.
Talking about the Pro Cascade specifically, 17 different voice commands have been programmed into the chair which can be activated by voice. To initiate this you simply start by saying “Hi Alice” or “Hey Alice” followed by 1 of the 17 commands. You can also press the voice control button as an alternate to “Hi/Hey Alice”.
What are these 17 commands? I was able to extract below list from the user’s manual. One column is what the user should be saying, and the other is what the chair will respond with, followed by the actualization of the command.
I know most people won’t care much for voice activated control, because anyways operation is simple enough using the remote control.
While I agree, I do think there is one very important benefit brought about by voice activated control: you can operate the chair while mid-flight in massage!
And this to me is a game-changer! Because you don’t need to wiggle out during a comfortable massage to recline further back or adjust the intensity a little. The only shortcoming with this particular kind of voice activated operation is that you do need to memorize the commands you plan on using frequently. But this is a minor thing!
#2 3D Massage With 5 Levels Of Roller Adjustment
Most of you reading this probably already know the different types of rollers one can find on a massage chair. Even still, I think it’s important to explain this a little because the rollers of a massage chair are akin to the engine of a car!

Right then, what are rollers and what are the different kinds you can find on a massage chair? Rollers are one of the main components responsible for delivering massage. There are 3 main types you can find on today’s massage chairs: 2D, 3D, and 4D.
2D is the most basic, 4D is the most advanced, and 3D is somewhere in between.
Since the Pro Cascade has 3D rollers, we’ll only focus on those. 3D rollers are pretty simple in theory. First things first, 3D stands for 3-dimensional. True to its name, 3D rollers can move in 3 dimensions: up/down along the vertical, side to side along the horizontal, and in/out from the back.
Today there’s ton of 3D chairs available in the market, and consumers are spoiled for choice really. But one thing I really like about the Pro Cascade is that you can make the “in/out” depth adjustment on the fly during auto or manual massage. You can pick from 5 levels.
#3 Fatigue Detection Is Something New!
Earlier on we talked about voice control and fatigue detection is a continuation of the same theme. It’s really refreshing to see big manufacturers like Titan/Osaki designing their chairs to have an element of intelligence.
So what is this fatigue detection anyways?
Basically the Cascade comes equipped with a device that measures your blood oxygen, heart rate, and your fatigue index. Based on this, the chair recommends a massage.
I know it’s not the biggest feature or even the most exciting one, but it’s a step forward in the right direction for massage chairs. A direction where massage can become much more specialized and personalized based on an individual’s condition.
#4 6 Auto Modes, 11 Massage Techniques—Good & Not So Good!
I’m digging the 11 massage techniques, but not so much the 6 auto modes.
I know the Pro Cascade is very reasonably priced (at this time), but 6 auto modes is still a tad less for a 3D chair, in my opinion.
For those of you who don’t know what auto modes are….they are preset massage routines which can be easily activated from the remote control. It’s what makes massage chairs so convenient, because it allows you to hop right into a chair, pick a mode and get massaging right away pretty much!

While there could be more auto modes, it’s very impressive to see that the Pro Cascade employs a total of 11 massage techniques including kneading, tapping, shiatsu, grab, and 3D to deliver a comprehensive massage program.

- Voice Control Is A Step Up!—Yes you can operate and do the same through a remote control, but massage is all about experience, and voice control definitely helps to enhance experience!
- Fatigue Detection—Just like voice control, fatigue detection or the idea of delivering a customized massage routine according to body condition is definitely a step in the right direction. Love to see where we are headed in the next 5 years!
- 11 Massage Techniques Are Great!—Because it gives the flexibility to massage in many different ways. I would have liked to see more auto modes, however.
- Pricing At This Time—For a 3D chair with all of these features, I’m pretty impressed with the pricing. I think it’s reasonably priced for everything it offers.
- Too Few Auto Modes—Mentioned a few times already, but would be nice to have more than 6 auto modes. Oh well, something you’re gonna have to live with I guess.

Like most massage chairs, the Pro Cascade offers you a choice of 3 different color selections to pick from. You have black, taupe, and brown.
Which one is your favorite? I’m liking the Taupe color scheme best!
Is The Pro Cascade Worth Buying Or Should You Look At Something Else?
I’ve spoken very highly of the Pro Cascade thus far, but the true litmus test is to see how it compares against other 3D chairs on the market.
We’ll be comparing the Cascade to another Titan chair, the Pro Omega, as well as Osaki’s Otamic. Both are fantastic chairs in their own right!
Cheap, effective, and incredibly powerful. Did I mention it comes with calf rollers!? For a chair that costs less than $2K, definitely impressive!

So which one should you get?
You’ll notice that the Pro Omega is quite similar to the Cascade in many aspects, but if you were to ask me, the Omega is definitely more superior. For me it’s the calf rollers that makes the Omega a better chair, and yes it’s also significantly cheaper as well!
And yes I haven’t forgotten about voice activated control or fatigue detection, which none of the other chairs have except for the Pro Cascade. However, when we put it all together, I do think the Omega ends up winning, at least in my opinion.
In all honesty, all 3 chairs are great!
The Otamic is more expensive, but does offer you a longer track with more auto modes. The Omega is my pick from the 3 because of it’s reasonable price tag, and the fact that it comes equipped with calf rollers. Even still, the Pro Cascade is a decent option in a market where buying a massage chair is a heavy heavy investment!

Buying a massage chair need not become a daunting affair. Once you’ve done your research and narrowed down the results based on your budget, it should be pretty easy deciding on a chair. Don’t let yourself get into a maze of confusion with all the units out in the market, but on the same token, do take some time to decide before pulling the trigger.
