A Fairly New Chair Equipped With The Latest Technology!

For those of you who don’t know, Titan fall under the same umbrella as Osaki and APEX. In other words, the folks who design and manufacture Osaki chairs are the same guys who manufacture Titan chairs.

Titan/Osaki/APEX have tons and tons of chairs released every couple of months! Even with 2020 being a pandemic year, there were so many new releases from these guys!

Obviously this is a good thing, because unlike many other massage chair manufacturers, these guys always look to improve upon existing models. This is especially true with the Pro Amamedic! It’s the result of design improvements to previously released 3D chairs, improvements such as new generation brushless motors (more on this later).

Titan 3D Pro Amamedic Massage Chair

Let’s look at the key features of the Pro Amamedic, and then later we will do a comparison to see how it fares when stacked up against similar chairs!

Titan 3D Pro AmaMedic Prestige Massage Chair: 5 Interesting Features To Know About!

#1 3-Dimensional (3D) Rollers w/ An Ultra Long L-Track!

Rollers are the heart of a massage chair. Therefore, it’s only fair we spend enough time evaluating and reviewing them. Understanding the technical aspects (dimension capabilities, roller type) is important, but it doesn’t end there.

It’s just as important to try the rollers out to see how they feel on your body. Everyone is different, and what might work miracles for me may be too uncomfortable for you!

Of course it’s not that simple if there aren’t any massage chair retailers close to your area. If you do have the opportunity to try a chair before buying, I highly recommend doing so! This is the best way to protect your investment and ensure 100% that what you’re buying is exactly what you desire and expect.

If it’s not possible, then you should research the chair a lot more, read up on reviews like this one and then make your decision.

Coming back to rollers on the Pro Amamedic…..this bad boy comes packing 3D rollers mounted on a 52” L-Track!

For those of you who might now know, there are 3 main types of rollers you can find on massage chairs today: 2D, 3D, and 4D rollers. To understand 3D, you need to understand 2D. We won’t talk 4D rollers today, as they’re not relevant/important for our discussion, but just know that they are more superior than 3D and 3D rollers.

2D Rollers
2D Rollers Move Up/Down & Left/RightDo you recall high school Math? Think x and y axis! In 2D massage chairs, the rollers are able to move vertically along the length of the back and horizontally along the width of the back. It’s basically up/down and side to side!
3D Rollers
Not The Best Picture, But You Get The Point!3-dimensional rollers are exactly the same as 2-dimensional, but with one significant improvement: 3D rollers allow for higher/lower intensity massage as a result of having inward/outward roller protrusion capabilities.

Typically, 2D chairs are considered entry level and 3D chairs are intermediate and sometimes advanced. This isn’t always the case, but most times it is.

Titan 3D Pro Amamedic 3D Rollers

The 3D rollers on the Pro Amamedic can traverse a total of 52” from neck to hamstrings. This is about as long of a range you can typically find on massage chairs today. Having this extended coverage is awesome because it means the rollers can massage right down to the bottom of the hamstrings!

Titan 3D Pro Amamedic L-Track

What’s the difference between an L-Track and an SL-Track? And which one does the Pro Amamedic come with?

There’s absolutely no difference between L/SL-Tracks. Someone somewhere decided to one day toss the word “SL” into the mix, and by doing so confused the heck outta most people myself included! An L-Track is the exact same as an SL-Track, and both types offer the tight “S” contour to the spine.

#2 Brushless Motors Make For A Quieter Massage Experience!

If you’ve watched the promotional video for the Pro Amamedic, you’ll have noticed they mention brushless motors. Why is this important?

Brushless motors are great for several reasons. For one, they offer reduced friction and as a result increase the lifespan of various parts. For two, they result in a much more quieter massage.

Titan 3D Pro Amamedic Brushless Motors

Personally speaking, noise has never been much of a problem for me when it comes to massage chairs. Yes there are some chairs that run loud, but it’s never been an issue per say. Therefore the real benefit of brushless motors for me is the increased life span that comes from reduced friction.

What do you guys think? Is noise a consideration for you when buying a massage chair? Drop a comment down below!

#3 6 Auto Modes & 6 Massage Techniques!

Auto modes are pre-programmed massage routines designed for users who don’t wanna mess around with manual settings. If all you want is to jump in the chair and do nothing other than press a few buttons to get a proper massage, auto modes are your best friend!

Massage techniques are the actual strokes a chair’s rollers and airbags are able to perform. An auto mode typically consists of many different massage techniques. A few examples of massage techniques include kneading, tapping, rolling, and clapping!

What are the 6 auto modes and massage techniques on the Pro Amamedic? Check out the image below!

Titan 3D Pro Amamedic Auto Modes

Considering its price, I am a little disappointed with seeing only 6 auto modes on the Pro Amamedic. When we get into the comparison/recommendation sections, I’ll talk about this in more detail!

#4 Space Saving Technology—1” Clearance Required!

Space saving technology has quickly become a staple on majority of Osaki/Titan/APEX chairs. Some chairs are better than others in that they don’t require too much clearance from backrest to wall.

The Pro Amamedic is an example of fantastic space saving recline as it only requires 1” of clearance from back of the chair to the wall.

Titan 3D Pro Amamedic Space Saving

Space saving is one of those things that’s absolutely critical to you, or on the flipside absolutely useless. If you’re short on space, you definitely need a chair that saves a few inches during recline so you don’t need such a large clearance. For these people, space saving becomes extremely important.

What’s the best way to look at it?

One of the things you need to properly understand before buying any massage chair is where in your home the chair will be placed. The best way to do it is to have dimensions of the space, but even having a rough/general idea should be sufficient.

The bigger the space, the more flexibility you have with placement, and features like space saving become less important. The opposite is true for a smaller space of course!

#5 Decent User Flexibility Made Possible By A 6” Extendable Footrest!

Similar to space saving recline, extendable foot rests are becoming more and more the norm on the modern day massage chair.

Why is this so? Manufacturers understand that accommodating various body types (height/weight) is of utmost importance, but they also understand that increasing the chair’s overall dimensions is probably not the best way to approach it.

A better way to improve user flexibility, particularly when it comes to height, is by designing the foot rest to be extendable. Because of the 6” extendable foot rest on the Pro Amamedic, it’s able to accommodate individuals ranging from 5’0-6’3 ft.! It’s also able to accommodate a maximum body weight of up to 240 lbs.

Titan 3D Pro AmaMedic Prestige Massage Chair: Pros & Cons!

Pros—The Stuff I Like!
Cons—The Stuff I Don’t Like!
    • Brushless Motors Are Definitely Value Add!—Not because they result in a quieter massage, but because they increase the longevity of the parts and therefore the chair. Most people take workmanship for granted and it’s even neglected most of the time, this is a good example of quality workmanship.
    • 52” L-Track Works Great At Massaging The Lower Half!—While the ultra long L-Track is great at massaging up to the glutes & hamstrings, it’s not able to track all the way right down to the calves and knees. However, as an L-Track chair, it still does a phenomenal job!
    • Ease Of Operation—Like most Osaki/Titan/APEX chairs, the Pro Amamedic is quite easy to operate and control. I’m really impressed with the remote control and how everything is clearly labelled and laid out.
    • Can’t Wrap My Head Around Pricing!—As I write these reviews on a weekly basis, I see tons of awesome chairs which I would love to recommend but I can’t because the pricing just doesn’t match up with everything else that’s out there. When you read these reviews, it’s important for you to keep in mind that pricing is always subject to change, so if the price goes significantly down, even though it may not be mentioned on this post, my verdict/recommendation also could change. That’s for you to figure out.

Titan 3D Pro AmaMedic Prestige Massage Chair: 3 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Question #1: Does this chair have airbags? If so, how many?

Yes it does. I did not talk about airbags much, because I wanted to highlight some of the other features. The Pro Amamedic comes equipped with a total of 14 airbags located in various areas of the chair where roller massage may not be possible (feet, calves, arms, hands, and shoulders).

I know most of you are probably thinking that 14 airbags is too little, especially when other chairs have double and in some cases almost triple the airbags!

When it comes to airbags, more doesn’t necessarily mean better. It’s actually really cool what Titan have done with this chair and the reduced number of airbags. They’ve cut down the number of airbags but still have been able to maintain the same surface coverage. Essentially, what you end up with is a more energy efficient chair requiring less electrical and mechanical parts, and it still offers the same coverage!

Titan 3D Pro Amamedic Airbags

Question #2: What other noteworthy features does this chair come with?

Aside from the ones already mentioned, you should know that the Pro Amamedic is equipped with Bluetooth friendly speakers. Most people are pretty stoked to have speakers on a massage chair, but it doesn’t excite me all that much.

Not that I won’t take it of course! It’s just that my primary focus is more centered around how well this chair can perform massage. Bluetooth speakers, while nice to have, do not in any way contribute to massage performance.

Another noteworthy feature on the Pro Amamedic are the spinning foot rollers located on either side of the foot rest. I did not talk about these before, but the foot rollers are designed to stimulate acupressure points by providing a kneading, rolling style massage.

Titan 3D Pro Amamedic Bluetooth Speakers

Question #3: What are the timer settings and how long of a massage can you have?

Like 99% of massage chairs on the market, the Pro Amamedic will only massage up to a maximum of 30 minutes at any given time.

You cannot exceed more than 30 minutes of massage. However, once the routine comes to an end, you can always restart all over again.

You also have the ability to set massage duration anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes with 5 minute intervals i.e. 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes etc. All of this can be configured on the remote control.

Titan 3D Pro AmaMedic Prestige Massage Chair: Is It Worth The $$$ Or Should You Consider Something Else?

Moment of truth! Should you get the Pro AmaMedic or consider/look at other 3D chairs?

To properly answer this question we need to perform a comparison. To truly see how good/bad the Pro Amamedic is, we need to see how it fares when put against other chairs of similar capability/technology.

We’ll be comparing the Pro Amamedic to Osaki’s Pro First Class and another Titan chair, the Titan Prime 3D.

Osaki Pro First Class
Osaki OS Pro First Class SpecificationsIt does cost more than the Pro Amamedic, but it also offers quite a bit more. For example, you get 23 auto modes, 3 foot roller rows, and best of all….independent calf rollers! There’s no surprise that the First Class is currently rated as one of the best 3D chairs on the market!
Titan Prime 3D
Titan Prime 3D SpecificationsIf you’re looking at bang for buck, then the Prime 3D is right up your alley. With 6 auto modes, 12 airbags, and an impressive 48” L-Track, this thing is more than capable of competing with the bad boys. More impressive than its features however, is its very reasonable price tag!

If we’re talking strictly performance, then the best chair from all 3 is the First Class. In terms of user experience, it eclipses the other 2 chairs. If we’re talking price, the Prime 3D is the most attractive chair. That leaves us with the Pro Amamedic which is somewhere in between!

So what should you buy from all 3?

If you’re looking for a budget 3D massage chair, my recommendation is to go with the Prime 3D. It’s a fantastic unit at a fraction of the cost of other 3D chairs. If price is not so much a concern, then the First Class is probably what you should lean towards if you can afford to do so.

Nothing against the Pro Amamedic, it’s still a very good chair and I do recommend it for those who want something between the First Class and the Prime 3D. However, I recommend the Prime 3D and the First Class over the Pro Amamedic.

  1. Thanks for your review. On the Titan 3D Pro-Prestige, how do you adjust the length of time as mentioned in Question 3?

“You also have the ability to set massage duration anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes with 5 minute intervals i.e. 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes etc. All of this can be configured on the remote control.”

    The manual doesn’t explain.

    Thanks

    1. Hi Ron, hope all is well. I had a chance to check out the user manual and below is what I found. Can you give this a shot and let me know if it does the trick?
